Abstract

maximum use of space, spending less money, and being environmentally friendly, especially in densely populated cities. This research aims to identify and determine the effective indicators and strategies for the competitiveness of the multi-purpose furniture market in Iran using Analytic Hierarchy Process. After library studies and research review, as well as interviews with professors and craftsmen active in the field of multi-purpose furniture, 33 indicators in eight main groups of technical and human, legal, economy and market, materials and products, infrastructure, socio-cultural, political and environmental along with four strategies were identified and evaluated. The results showed that among the main indicators, the technical and human index had more influence than other indicators, and among the sub-indices, employing the expert human resources index had the highest priority. The foreign investment solution is considered the most important option among the solutions. The sensitivity analysis found that the main index of socio-cultural is the most sensitive index.
